NaphCare is hiring Full and Part-Time Dentists to join our team at multiple locations across the state of Arizona.
We have opportunities in Douglas, Goodyear, Safford, Tucson, and Yuma
As a Correctional Dentist, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide dental care to the incarcerated individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have a variety of duties to keep you engaged. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical and dental needs.
The Dentist is responsible for ensuring quality dental care is provided to protect the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population.
Responsibilities may include and not limited to:
- Diagnosing, treating, and providing preventative care for patients
- Creating treatment plans and performing dental procedures, such as extractions and restorations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices & maintain accurate and detailed patient dental records
- Collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients oral health needs
Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or equivalent
- Experience in clinical dentistry and correctional settings preferred
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid dental license in the of Arizona
- Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
